Walkways are clear from obstructions and are clearly marked

CTW and/or JSA’s completed and available for the job

All means of pedestrian / mobile plant separation in good condition (e.g. chains, fences, gates)

Bins are empty (or not overflowing)

Ear plug dispensers are full and operational?

Spill kits are located in their proper homes? (i.e. where there is spill kit signage)

Spill kits are well stocked with appropriate materials?

Floors are free of spillages, absorbent pads / granules?

Fire extinguishers are in place where signed?

Fire exits are free of obstruction?

Emergency showers are in good condition and working?

First Aid Kits are adequately stocked and assessable?

Emergency Information is displayed? (Emergency Diagram, First Aid, Contact List)

All electrical leads are tested and tagged and in good condition?

Safety harness and fall arrest devices correctly stored, tagged and in good condition?

Electrical leads in use suspended on electrical cable hangers?

All flammable and combustible products are stored properly?

Stored materials are stable and secure? (e.g. no leaning stacks of pipe or product etc)

Weight specifications are posted for maximum loads for racking?

Are all machine parts adequately guarded?

Guards are in good condition?

Guards and Safety Interlocks are secured properly (i.e. no cable ties, g-clamps holding open etc)

Restricted / Confined space areas are well signed?

Confined spaces are protected? (e.g. guarding in place, lid covering hole etc. to prevent unauthorized access)

Gas bottles are stored in upright position, segregated and marked?

Gas bottles/ Compressed gas are shut off when not in use?

Are the bottles chained so as to prevent them falling, Equipment and hoses in good condition?

Mobile equipment has had daily inspection form filled out? (Forklift/Front End Loader/ Cranes)

Safety/Warning devices working? (Lights, Horns)

Adequate water bubblers in work areas?

PPE is being worn for task?

Employee is able to locate Work Instructions?
