  • Recently, the Safety and Risk Management, Occupational Safety Section, conducted the annual safety inspection of this shop. The purpose was to identify potential safety hazards. Please attend to the following recommendations and return the Certificate of Completion within 30 days of the receipt of this report. Your continued cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. You may contact Aaron Kauffman with any questions at 827-0360. As a result of this inspection, the following recommendations are being noted for your attentions.

  • Have all ladders been inspected before use with documentation? Ref. 29 CFR 1910.23(b)(9)

  • Are all ladders being stored properly? 29 CFR 1910.23(c)(7)(i)

  • Have all powered industrial trucks been inspected before use with documentation? Ref. 29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7)

  • Have all personnel who are authorized to use powered industrial trucks received appropriate training? Ref. 29 CFR 1910.178(l)

  • Is all machinery appropriately guarded to prevent injury of personnel? Ref. 29 CFR 1910.212

  • Is appropriate personal protective equipment being utilized effectively? Ref. 29 CFR 1910 Subpart I

  • Are current hazardous material Safety Data Sheets readily accessible to all employees? Ref. 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1)

  • Are all hazardous materials properly labeled with product identifier and associated hazards? Ref. 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)

  • Are all hazardous material properly stored to prevent injury to personnel? Ref. 29 CFR 1910 Subpart H

  • Are all eyewash records maintained for weekly and annual testing? Ref. ANSI Z358.1

  • Is lockout/tagout equipment provided for employees required to isolate energized equipment? Ref. 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)
