Coupling - check coupling is on tow ball, locked down fully, safety clip in place. Safety chains are shackled to tow bar with rated shackles (ensure dual chains are crossed)

Brakes - Check brake override latch is open if brakes fitted. Check handbrake is off

Lights - connect lights and test

Wheels - Check jockey wheel is stowed. Tyres are inflated appropriate for the task and overall tyre condition checked
