Observation checklist

  • Have you preformed a Visible Check on Tyres for thread depth and inflation

  • Is The Spare Tyre inflated correctly

  • Do you know the location of the Vehicle Jack

  • Would you replace a tyre if it was deflated-flat or call roadside assistance

  • On Starting the Vehicle do you know what the displayed symbols mean ?

  • After starting the vehicle do any of the display symbols remain on?

  • Do you know who to contact if you require assistance with the vehicle other than a normal service arrangement?

  • Do you drive with Headlights set to Automatic ON

  • have you checked all Lights and are they working correctly

  • Items that you take with you when driving eg. Laptop, Backpack etc are these secured

  • have you ensured you have compete visibility through windscreen and all windows before driving, eg defrost windows when necessary

Housekeeping/Maintenance

  • Does your vehicle get cleaned and vacuumed regularly

  • Is the vehicle servicing up to date?

Tools and Equipment

  • Do you have a fist aid kit in the Vehicle?

  • Do you check if items in the first aid kit are still useable- use by date?

  • Do you have an emergency break down kit in your Vehicle to use if the vehicle Breaks down

Driver aids and safety features

  • Is the reversing camera functional?

  • Does the horn work?

  • Are the parking sensors functional?

P.P.E

  • Do you have all necessary PPE which would be required when visting fabricators?

Mobile equipment

  • When visiting a fabricator/ supplier do you park your vechile in a safe place and avoid the least possibility of an incident with mobile equipment

Ergonomics

  • Is seating position comfortable as per driver training recommendations?

  • Are mirrors adjusted correctly?

Emergency Management

  • In case of an emergency do you know who you should contact?
