Check List

  • Check that the installation is in strict accordance with the specification, complies with NACP 30 and is to a high standard of workmanship

  • Check that all cables are clearly identified in the controller's and all junction boxes

  • REMOVE THE MAINS SUPPLY AND RUN ON BACKUP POWER a) Measure battery voltage at all parts of the system b ) Ensure that the system works correctly on battery backup c) check battery current draw d) check that there is adequate standby battery capacity to meet the requirements of the specification e) check the number of operations on backup power is as specified

  • Check all batteries are clearly identified with date of installation

  • Check operation of all tamper detection devices

  • Check each reader and control point for the correct operation through the control panel

  • Check each access point hardware, including closers, locks , doors , hinges , frames, and contacts , for the correct alignment

  • Check each access point hardware to ensure that the fittings have not been unduly weakened by the addition of the security equipment

  • Check furthest door releases within 2 seconds of operation

  • Check door alarms operate

  • Check operation of cards and card format on the system

  • Do doors operate in failed locked or unlocked as specified

  • Check system operating procedures re displayed near to operating positions

  • Ensure the customer is shown the extent of the protection and correct operation of the system . append their name to the completion certificate

  • Check that any changes from the specification are correctly recorded on the completion certificate and reported back to the office

  • Ensure the access control performance checks document EC13 is completed

  • Ensure that any outstanding work is recorded on the completion certificate

  • Check that all documentation is ready for handover to the customer

  • Obtain the customer's signature on the completion certificate acknowledging training on use of the system and receipt of all documentation

  • Instruct the user to establish whether personnel data held within the system requires the customer to register under the data protection act

  • Check all surplus materials have been removed from site
