General observatioms

Examine the top plate. Ensure all bolts are fitted and are tight. There should be no gap visible between plate and grab body.

Are there any oil leaks from hydraulic cylinders/pipework.

Examine all the lifting shackles for signs of wear, nicks, gouges and distortion.
Level of wear depicted on the VM board is acceptable -
Check shackle nut/bolt is tight No gap should be visible between bolt/shackle. Check split pin is fitted & not damaged.
Level of wear depicted on the VM board is acceptable -
Check grab body around all pivots for signs of cracking.

Check the umbilical sock and lanyard are in good condition and securely attached.

Check umbilical cable is not damaged or twisted.

Check umbilical cable plug is firmly attached and plug/socket/ cable gland is not damaged.

Check hydraulic cylinder top pins are located correctly. Check locating pin is fitted in free end.

Check hydraulic cylinder bottom pins are located correctly. Check locating pin is fitted in free end

Check petal pivot pins are located correctly. Check locating pin is fitted in free end

Examine above the pivots for build-up of waste. Clear if any is found.

Examine behind lower petal pivots for build-up of waste. Clear if any is found.
Calibration

Has calibration been carried out to SWP OMSKIRKOP 1.4.202?
