General observatioms
-
Examine the top plate. Ensure all bolts are fitted and are tight. There should be no gap visible between plate and grab body. <br><br>
-
Are there any oil leaks from hydraulic cylinders/pipework.<br>

Examine all the lifting shackles for signs of wear, nicks, gouges and distortion. <br>Level of wear depicted on the VM board is acceptable<br>

Check shackle nut/bolt is tight No gap should be visible between bolt/shackle. Check split pin is fitted & not damaged.<br>Level of wear depicted on the VM board is acceptable<br><br>

Check grab body around all pivots for signs of cracking. <br><br>

Check the umbilical sock and lanyard are in good condition and securely attached. <br>

Check umbilical cable is not damaged or twisted.<br><br>

Check umbilical cable plug is firmly attached and plug/socket/ cable gland is not damaged.

Check hydraulic cylinder top pins are located correctly. Check locating pin is fitted in free end.<br>

Check hydraulic cylinder bottom pins are located correctly. Check locating pin is fitted in free end<br>

Check petal pivot pins are located correctly. Check locating pin is fitted in free end<br>

Examine above the pivots for build-up of waste. Clear if any is found.<br>

Examine behind lower petal pivots for build-up of waste. Clear if any is found.<br>
Calibration

Has calibration been carried out to SWP OMSKIRKOP 1.4.202?
