Materials for work. / Details for work?

  • Does the material match material/submittals?

  • Does the foreman have the job site notebook in the immediate area? If no, stop work and get it for reference as needed.

  • Are the materials needed, in the right qualities for the work to be performed?

  • Are materials in good condition?

  • Does installer have a copy of detail drawing?

  • Does the drawing match the location and situation?

Site preparations

  • Is subbase ready?

  • Is dewatering in place? If no and needed check no. If no and not needed check NA.

  • Is area dry for proper installation of product?

Forms

  • Are forms installed in a manner that waterproofing can be installed properly?

  • Does the foreman/crew understand what side of the form the waterproofing goes on?

  • When ready, can the forms be removed without damaging the waterproofing?

Membrane installation

  • Is membrane laid out the right way up?

  • Is membrane overlapped 6” at the lateral seams?

  • Is the membrane overlapped 6” at the ends of the rolls?

  • Are lateral seams being rolled by manufactures roller after sealed together?

  • Are overlapping ends of rolls being primed with primer prior to gluing?

  • Are over lapping ends being rolled with manufactures roll after gluing?

  • Are overlapping area sticking as required? Test an area.

Steel / utility install before concrete pouring

  • Are all precautions being taken to protect membrane? Either by material or work practices.

  • Are damaged areas being reported so the can be repaired before concrete pouring?

  • Are damaged areas being repaired?

  • Are all pipe or steel penetration areas installed so a seal can be done for waterproofing?

Concrete pouring

  • Is waterproofing ready for concrete before pouring? Repairs, install properly,

  • Have you walked the entire pour area? Take pictures

Form removal

  • Have formers been removed so as to not damage waterproofing?

  • Are repairs done to damaged areas of the membrane?

  • Is the area going to be protected to prevent any damage to waterproofing? I.e. backfilling , water damage?

  • Who is responsible for protecting the area? Who was it handed off to?

  • Are the tie in ends in good condition for future tie ins?

  • Will the product be covered, before 60, to protect it from sun and weather damage?
