  • Are bungs in place on all drums?

  • Are drums containing liquid petroleum products protected from damage?

  • Are all 55 gallon drums of petroleum drums stored on secondary containment?

  • Is spill containment and clean up material readily available in the area?

  • Are drip tray(s) in place and used during petroleum product transfer?

  • Are leaks from petroleum spills cleaned up immediately upon notification?

  • Are all containers label correctly as it its contents?

  • Equipment cleaning areas properly cleaned and washing materials captured to prevent stormwater contamination?

  • If drums are stored outside are they protected from the weather to prevent rust?

  • Are cleanup activities completed using dry sweep or other dry measures that prevent the creation of polluted wastewater or storm water runoff

  • Is loose concrete dust/material spilled outside cleanup to prevent mixing/contamination with stormwater?

  • Is the stormwater sampling point clear of debris or other materials?

  • Trash bins, trash rolloffs, and other receptacles are covered or closed

  • Is the parking lot clear of petroleum products from spills?

  • Is the site free of other erosion on the site?

  • Waste containers are kept covered except when adding or removing material?

  • Is stormwater free of exposure from "Significant materials" that may contaminate the stormwater?

  • Spill kits and emergency response supplies are maintained near areas of petroleum storage?

  • Paved areas free of trash, oil and grease, debris and excess dirt?
