ASBESTOS

Have you confirmed that there is no asbestos on site?

Has the type of asbestos been identified by an hygienist or licensed asbestos contractor?

Do not proceed until the type and quantity have been assessed by a licensed asbestos contractor.

When asbestos may be present, PPE requirements are P2 or N95 disposable mask or half-face respirator, disposable overalls, face and hand wipes, boot covers or gumboots.
STRUCTURAL ASSESSMENT

Was an engineer's assessment required and obtained?

Were trades engaged on the basis of this assessment?
HAZARDOUS or FLAMMABLE CHEMICALS

Were there any commercial quantities of hazardous or flammable chemicals used on site?

Arrange for a qualified specialist (e.g. EPA Engineer or Hygienist) to provide advice on removal and remediation.

Have you confirmed the correct PPE that will be required for the site visit, considering the type of chemicals required?

Check with fire department or the Chemical Safety Data Sheet for advice

Has there been contamination from a death or human matter, animal carcass or large quantities of spoiled food?

If attending site before cleaning it is essential that you wear the following PPE while onsite:

Arrange for site assessment, appropriate cleanup and make safe

Was a hygienist assessment required?

Has the hygienist provided their assessment?

Has the appropriate level of make safe been completed?

Have trades confirmed that the make safe has been completed and it is safe to attend site?

Do I have the correct PPE for the site assessment? (Show covers / Gum Boots, P2 respirator, Gloves, hand sanitiser)
