Work Area Inspection

  • Is anyone wearing loose clothing, jewellery, or loose long hair when operating rotating machinery?<br><br>If yes stop work and counsel the person on the dangers associated with using rotating machinery. Ensure that loose clothing, jewellery or loose long hair is controlled.

  • Are Welders, Electricians or power boxes standing in puddles?<br><br>All of the above present an electric shock hazard and must be stopped immediately.

  • Are Fire Extinguishers available where Welding or Hot Work is being carried out?
