Cleanup Checklist
Before Cleanup

Log on to EMS & check for alarms already available, if any and note it down:

Is the anti static wrist strap connected to the earth port on the OLT chassis, and onto your wrist? (
During Clean Up
-
Please ensure you use the line card blanking plate to cover the slot where you have removed the line card from. This is to ensure that a minimal amount of dust, if any, cannot enter the equipment as you remove the dust from the line card using the compressed air can.

Provide Before images of the line cards before cleaning (Hold near allocated OLT slot for identification)
-
Cleaning line card: using your right hand, hold the Line`s ears/edges while the left hand has compressed air can that you are shaking and spraying at 45 degrees, 30 to 70mm away from the Line card.

After cleaning card, take an after image, remove the blanking plate on the OLT and install the card.

Before moving to the next card, log on to EMS to verify if the Line card is coming up, verify also on the OLT if the card is coming up, if not coming up, communicate with the team and abort cleaning. If it comes up, proceed to the next line card

Provide After images of the line cards after cleaning (Hold near allocated OLT slot for identification)

Once all cards have been cleaned, installed and verified they are working properly, wipe the chassis exterior and all the equipment using a clean antistatic cloth.<br>
Post clean-up

On EMS check for alarms to see if the alarms haven`t increased from the site you are operating on, also confirm with support agent on duty if he is seeing any concerning issues, backhaul links, alarms for devices with LOS, etc.
