What is included in the BRC Audit?

The BRC Audit includes the following areas of focus:1). Senior management commitment – the commitment of the senior management is important. The leaders of the companies that are due for audit should help ensure that there is the right implementation and continuous improvement of food safety processes in the retail company. 2) Food safety plan - the food safety plan or the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) is also part of the BRC audit. During the audit, the auditor will look at implementing the HACCP that can help identify and manage the risks in food production. 3) Food safety and quality management system – the food retail company must also provide proper documentation of processes in place to help manage the safety of food production and keep staff properly informed. 4) Site standards –the food retail company must be able to set up and maintain the ideal site for food production. 5) Product control – Product food control is important for the retail company to set up controls in place such as allergen management and product testing. 6) Process control - this is a requirement that requires one to consistently follow and maintain product quality. 7) Personnel - the retail company must provide that employees are trained, wearing PPE, and follow proper hygiene. 8) High Risk, High Care, and Ambient High Care Production Risk Zones – zones must be set up by the food company to make sure that the food preparation and product preparation are of high value. 9) Traded products - ensure sites that purchase and sell food products properly follow health and safety protocols
