Stairways (Subpart X - 1926.1050)

Is there a handrail or stair rail along each unprotected side or edge?

Are stairs with 4 or more risers or rising more than 30" equipped with a handrail or stair rail?

Is the temporary handrail at least 3" from the wall?

Is there a competent person on site while performing trenching/excavating?

Is there adequate cave-in protection for employees working in trenches/excavations greater than 5' in depth?

Is there an access/egress ladder in the trench/excavation ( 4' or deeper) and is it within 25' of the workers?

Are the spoil piles back at least 2' from the face of the excavation?

Are all audible alarms in operation on earthmoving equipment and loud enough to hear?
