GENERAL INSPECTION

ENSURE THE OPERATIONS LOG BOOK HAS THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

  • Reason for use (testing, maintenance, emergency, required emission testing)?

  • Calendar year operation in terms of fuel consumption (in gallons) and total hours?

DIESEL IC ENGINE, EMERGENCY GENERATOR

  • Is the diesel fuel less than or equal to CARB specifications (15 ppm)?

  • Is the generator operated no more than 30 minutes before a scheduled outage and shut down when scheduled outage is completed?

  • Is the generator operated for no more than 20 hours per year for testing and maintenance (excludes source testing)?

  • Is the oil and oil filter being changed every 500 hours or annually?

PORTABLE DIESEL IC ENGINE, COMPRESSOR

  • Is the diesel fuel less than or equal to CARB specifications (15 ppm)?

  • Is the unit moved annually to a different location or facility?

  • Is the unit operated no more than 80 hours per year for testing and maintenance (excludes source testing)?

  • Is the unit 1000 feet away from schools?

  • Is the "Statement of Compliance" being submitted by March 01 2013, 2017 and 2020?

PROPANE IC ENGINE, EMERGENCY GENERATOR

  • Does the unit use propane as a fuel source?

  • Is the unit operated no more than 30 minutes before a scheduled outage and shut down when scheduled outage is completed?

  • Is the unit operated no more than 100 hours per year for testing and maintenance(excludes source testing)?

NATURAL GAS IC ENGINE, EMERGENCY GENERATOR

  • Does this unit use natural gas as its fuel source?

  • Is the unit operated no more than 30 minutes before a scheduled outage and shut down when scheduled outage is completed?

  • Is the unit operated for no more than 100 hours per year for testing and maintenance(excludes source testing)?
