Are all floors in clean and in good condition?

Are work area free from obstructive objects? (e.g. excess cardboard, pallets in work area)?

Is lighting in the area adequate?

Are the floor areas clear of slip and trip hazards?

Are all work surfaces clean and tidy?

Are materials stored in designated areas?

Are tools stored correctly?

Are signs in the area clear, legible, and in a prominent position?

Are there enough hazard warning signs?

Are Access/Exit routes unobstructed?

Are work area free from protruding objects which may cause harm (e.g. nails, sharp corners etc)?

Are all personal items such as clothing, lunch boxes etc. been put away in lockers, storage cupboards etc.?

Are tools and machines clean and free from dirt and greases?

Are storage areas clearly marked, safe and accessible?

Have all hazardous substances been put back in the COSHH cabinet when not in use?

Are water bottles stored far from product feed end? If so, move to a more suitable area away from product.

Are pallets store correctly? If no, please lower into a safe position.

Are formes and stereos stored safely & correctly?

Are all exit routes clearly marked and illuminated?

Do all fire doors open out to level floors?

Are fire doors in good condition?

Are manual call points in good condition?

Are fire extinguishers readily accessible?

Is the fire extinguishers checked annually? (Check the date on the label)

Is the fire extinguisher anti tamper tag still in place?

If applicable, is the dial on the extinguisher in the green zone?

Illumination is adequate at all workstations?

Pedestrian Walkways are kept clear of potential trip hazards?

Are there first aiders in your area and are they easily identifiable?

Are first aid boxes adequately stocked?

Are eyewash bottles in good order and in date?

Is the first aid room adequately sign posted?

Is suitable protective clothing being worn?

Is eye protection being worn?

Is hand protection being worn?

Is protective footwear being worn?

Is hearing protection being worn?

Is protection suitable for the work being performed?

Check condition of PPE being worn

Is there a designated storage area?

Are the substances stored correctly?

Are all containers labelled?

Are MSDS sheets available?

Are COSHH assessments available?

Is information on the substances used in the area available?

Are all electrical panels secured?

Are all electrical cables and fixtures in good order?

Are all appliances in the Cell Leaders cabin identified and in date PAT testing?

Is all rotating equipment guarded?

Are all drive belts guarded?

Are all stop controls clearly indicated?

Are all emergency stops clearly indicated?

Are all safety interlocks operational?

Is lockout tagout procedure being followed?

Are all electrical hand tools tested & in good condition?

Are all operator hand tools in good condition?

Are FLT operators operating their truck in a safe manner, not speeding, carrying loads correctly, travelling in the right direction dependent on load?
