Housekeeping

  • Are all exit routes clearly marked and illuminated?

  • Are fire doors in good condition?

  • Are manual call points in good condition?

  • Are fire extinguishers readily accessible?

  • Is the fire extinguishers checked annually? (Check the date on the label)

  • Is the fire extinguisher anti tamper tag still in place?

  • If applicable, is the dial on the extinguisher in the green zone?

  • Illumination is adequate at all workstations?

  • Pedestrian Walkways are kept clear of potential trip hazards?

First Aid

  • Are there first aiders in your area and are they easily identifiable?

  • Are first aid boxes adequately stocked?

  • Are eyewash bottles in good order and in date?

  • Is the first aid room adequately sign posted?

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Is suitable protective clothing being worn?

  • Is eye protection being worn?

  • Is the flooring in good condition?
