Details of Electrical Enclosure

  • Is the board inside a locked room or behind a locked door?

  • As this is an Open Area or Outside be vigilant for external influences such as weather, fork-lifts and pedestrians and consider protective area barriers and temporary shade for example?

  • Enclosure doors should be locked even behind a locked outer door - as per site electrical standards

  • Number of Accessible Doors

  • What is the frequency of access? [General Guidance : EDB = LOW ; CTL = HIGH]

  • What is the Arc Fault rating at the time of assessment [per label on panel door or escutcheon] PHOTO

  • ACTION - May need arc-fault assessment - label may be on escutcheon

  • Does the enclosure door operate and latch properly?

  • Was the door locked at the time of inspection?

  • Are door seals intact and functional?

  • Temperature is safe to work in?

  • Is the lighting levels good enough for working at this enclosure?

  • Is access ok to do the work?

  • Do you require hearing protection?

  • Is this normally a Wet Area?

  • Is there a likelihood of any Radiation present

  • Is there pedestrian access?
