  • Are operators provided sufficient space to perform their daily duties

Safe Working Practices

  • Have there been Safe Work Practices Refreshed this week?

  • Staff are able to demonstrate the safe work instructions associated with the jobs they are performing

FIRST AID

  • At least one person trained in CPR/first aid is scheduled during work hours

  • CPR/first aid certified staff are clearly identified

  • First aid kits are inspected every 3 months (July, October, January and April). Kits are adequately stocked with OSHA requirements (as a minimum) and systems are in place for these to be replenished as required.

  • Next check to be performed in October

Working Environment

  • Are all Scanline Fans operational

  • Internal Mirrors positioned correctly to eliminate blind spots

  • Is the noise level demanding of PPE being mandatory

  • Is the lighting provided sufficient for the task being performed

  • Is the water fountain in good working order and clean

  • Is the floor in good condition

  • Is the roof preventing external weather conditions from impacting on internal activities

  • Are toilets clean and tidy and without graffiti

  • Is the driveway free of concern

  • Is PPE available

  • Barriers are adequate for each area

  • The nip points along the conveyor belt are protected by adequate barriers

Manual Handling Equipment

  • Both gas Forklifts are in good working order

  • The 3 Walkie Stackers are in good operational condition.

  • The 3 Electric Pallet Transporters are in good operational condition

  • The electric pallet mover in the SOR area is in good operational condition

  • Reviewed Daily Checklists

  • Manual Pallet Jacks are in good operational condition

Maintenance

  • A maintenance program has been established for the Roller Doors, Conveyors and Loading Docks

  • Conveyor 4 services/year, next service is scheduled for September/October

  • Roller Doors, twice/year next service scheduled January 2014

  • Loading Docks, three/year next service scheduled Nov/December 2013
