  • 3.4 - Maintaining 3 metre clearance around MHE?

  • 3.5 - Creating safe zones with barriers/cones when working outside container?

4.0 - WORK AREA / HOUSEKEEPING

  • 4.1 - Loading/work/unloading area clean and tidy?

  • 4.2 - Entry and walkways kept clear?

  • 4.3 - Intersections kept clear of rubbish/debris/pallets etc?

  • 4.4 - Are liquid spills cleaned up immediately?

  • 4.5 - Are fall preventive measures in place (guard rails) and gaps covered (docks raised)?

  • 4.6 - Are footpaths free of rubbish/boxes/pallets?

  • 4.7 - Bins located at suitable points around site?

  • 4.8 - Eating / lunch area kept tidy?

  • 4.9 - Smoking only in designated areas?

5.0 - MHE

  • 5.1 - Has a pre-start checklist been completed?

  • 5.2 - Seatbelt being worn?

  • 5.3 - Is the operator checking over his shoulders before reversing?

  • 5.4 - Is the operator sounding his horn on reversing/approaching doorways and corners?

  • 5.5 - Is the forklift operator carrying his license on him?

6.0 PROCEDURES

  • 6.1 - Are cartons stacked neatly and within the pallet?

  • 6.2 - Are pallets wrapped adequately?

  • 6.3 - Are damaged cartons recorded and accounted?

7.0 - EQUIPMENT

  • 7.1 - Are the wrap stations and surrounding area kept clean?

  • 7.2 - Are bolt cutters in good condition?

  • 7.3 - Are air locks in use when working in containers?

  • 7.4 - Are trolley jacks / pallets / wheel chocks used?

  • 7.5 - Are container cuffs being used when opening containers?

  • 7.6 - Are docks / ramps in good condition?
