Sharps containers have not been overfilled (i.e. 2/3 full) ?

Nothing stored on top of sharps containers and opening is free from obstructions?

All safety devices are readily available/stocked appropriately (i.e. on lab draw caddy, in med room, etc.)?

Sharps containers are located at the point of use and at appropriate height (opening 52 - 56 inches from ground)?

All appropriate safety and transfer devices are in use?

No evidence of re-capping of needles?

Staff are aware of the action required following a sharps or blood/bodily fluid exposure injury?

Medication waste is being segregated properly?

Bulk biohazard (red bag) is segregated and stored properly?

Staff are donning, doffing, and disposing of PPE appropriately?
