BMU Inductons

  • All operators have been inducted in the safe operation of the BMU and specific site notes

  • Conduct a BMU induction

  • Upload a photo of completed induction and register

  • Proceed to BMU pre-inspection

  • Conduct the BMU Pre-Inspection as per the SWMS and site-specific checklists

  • Fault/s identified?

  • Do Not Proceed. Contact Briteway Management

  • Upload a photo of the completed pre-inspection

  • Proceed to BMU Kit and Tether Setup

BMU Kit and Tether Set Up

  • Are all items in the kit free of damage and safe for use?

  • Do NOT Proceed. Contact Briteway Management.

  • BMU has been set up with appropriate tethers and restraints and is now deemed as safe to operate

  • Proceed to BMU SWMS step

BMU SWMS

  • Date the Job Overview, Pre Work Hazard and Operational Checklist, and the Risk Assessment Sign off pages

  • Conduct Pre Work Hazard Checks

  • Do NOT Proceed. Contact Briteway Management

  • Undertake Daily Risk Assessment

  • Have there been any risks identified

  • Do any of the risks have a final risk rating of "Moderate" or higher

  • Do NOT Proceed. Contact Briteway Management.

  • Complete the daily risk assessment and verbally address the risks and appropriate control measures with the other staff on-site

  • All staff on-site have signed off on the SWMS

  • Upload a photo of the completed pre-work checks, daily risk assessment and staff sign off

  • Proceed to the final checks

  • "Nil" has been listed in the daily risk assessment

  • All staff on-site have signed off on the SWMS

  • Upload a photo of the completed pre-work checks, daily risk assessment and staff sign off

  • Equip a harness, perform a buddy check and attach to the approved access system

  • Has an exclusion zone been set up with appropriate signage where applicable?
