Hygiene Standards Bunkers
GOOD
• Evidence of cleaning as you go – grain inside and outside the bunker cleaned up to the grain face
• Free of grain and dust piles, sweepings etc less than 1 week old
• Free of live insects
• Free of rodent and bird carcasses, feathers and droppings less than 1 week old
• Free of ponding
• Tarps free of unpatched mice/bird holes and tares
• Tarps pulled out ready to fold and roll less than 2 weeks old
• Free to light level of weeds
• Bunker equipment (portable stackers) and machinery (Loaders, lobsters etc) clean and tidy
• CLS Systems free of grain and dust residues
• Transfer hoppers and elevators free of grain and dust residues
• Waste grain piles covered and protected
FAIR
• Presence of operational grain and dust piles, sweepings etc more than 1 week old
• Light build-ups of grain and dust residues to walls and floors
• Spilt grain not cleaned up at end of day as a result of inload, outload, transfer etc
• Medium level of weeds
• Presence of dust and damaged grain and dust piles more than 1 week old
• Presence of rodent and bird carcasses, feathers and droppings more than 1 week old or where this is contaminating product
• Presence of light grain and dust residues on bunker equipment and machinery
• Presence of light grain and dust residues in CLS System, transfer hoppers and elevators
• Tarps pulled out ready to fold and roll more than 2 weeks old
• Tarps contain patched mice/bird holes and tares

POOR
• Presence of operational grain and dust piles, sweepings etc more than 1 month old
