Staff Requirement and information

  • ( DFT) All staff wearing the correct ID which is clearly visible to see and information readable (The picture must be comparable with the owner) All IDs are within the expierly date

  • All staff wearing the correct PPE i.e. high viz ,safety shoes ,gloves if required and DHL uniform ( Non-agency )

  • All PD boards are consistently updated with the correct information . No gaps .

  • Regular information sent consistently on the WhatsApp groups i.e. soil counts updated every two hours and end of shift information

Stock counts

  • Accurate stock counts is completed daily by the booking team and sent consistently to OCS in a timely manner

  • Both bay doors are easily accessible and closed when not in use

  • Area clean ,tidy ,organised and easily accessible for observation and storage

  • All cages holding products are arranged in SKU order which don’t require breaking down

  • All staff observed following the health and safety guidelines when manoeuvering cages to their allotted location All staff wearing protective gloves

  • All cages are security sealed with the correct heavy duty cover (Correct Size as per cage) and securely sealed at the base using the tightening strap You must not be able to pass any object once sealed or observe any tampering/damage to the heavy duty bag or zip

  • All fitted straps have a unique blue/brown seal correctly placed and tightened There is no evidence of tampering or broken

  • All magazines which are held in the area are correctly broken down and security checked before they are assembled in the cage. The person who is assembling the cage must be DFT level 1 trained

Stock holding assembly area

  • Area clean ,tidy ,organised and easily accessible for observation and storage

  • All cages holding products are arranged in SKU order and easily accessible for the cage building process within the area

  • All staff observed following the health and safety guidelines when manoeuvering cages to their allotted location. All staff wearing protective gloves

  • All recycling and individual product must be tightly/securely sealed with no evidence of tampering/damage when observed

  • All staff assembling or recycling cages must arrange product In correspondence with the approved specification/figures and follow the correct security process during assembly. Staff must visually focus on the cage with no loss of eye contact while the loader would collect product to complete assembly (Loader can be non DFT trained)

  • All cages must NOT be left unattended duing the assembly process and accompanied by the builder until )Required loaded)

  • All completed cages are undamaged and can be easily moved/loaded without causing harm to oneself or individuals. Staff following the correct health and safety procedure

  • All completed cages must be security sealed with the correct heavy duty cover (Correct Size as per cage) and securely sealed at the base using the tightening strap You must not be able to pass any object once sealed or observe any tampering/damage to the heavy duty bag or zip

Hydraulic lifts courses

  • All cages are loaded correctly and safely using the health and safety procedures

  • All hydraulic lifts should be operated by a trained member of staff only

  • All hydraulic lifts holding full loads must not remain stationary only halfway through the cycle as this will cause damage to the mechanism All hydraulic lift should complete the cycle and be offloaded promptly

Soiled holding area

  • Area clean ,tidy ,organised and easily accessible for observation and storage

  • All cages holding the soil bags must not be mixed with i.e. discontinued product food debris recoop or non - BA items

  • All cages must be undamaged and can be easily moved when required Staff observed following the correct health and safety procedure when manoeuvring these cages to and from location.

  • All soiled bags held in the cages must not overflow as risking falling

Dispatch area

  • Area clean ,tidy ,organised and easily accessible for manoeuvrability and loading

  • All the bay doors are free from obstruction i.e. soiled bags and closed when not in use

  • All completed vehicles are sent airside in a timely manner and in correspondence with the dispatch schedule

  • All completed vehicles must Have a unique blue seal and with a completed 8.2 paperwork highlighting the serial number. The 8.2 paperwork must hold the correct information and completed by a DFT level 2 trained member of staff

OCS Deliveries

  • All OCS deliveries must be received on bay 3.

  • OCS driver is observed handing the vehicle key and delivery notes to the DHL member of staff before commencing the offload The security seal must be in correspondence with the paperwork and checked before opening the back door. If the security seal is not matching then the delivery must be rejected and then escalated to the booking in/senior team for further advice

  • All the OCS content is matching with the drivers notes and overall daily par levels. All delivery notes must be checked ,signed and handed to the booking in team for records kept/historical data

  • All cages must be presented with a 8.1 paperwork correctly filled and matching the content within the cage

  • All staff observed following the correct health and safety guidelines when offloading cages to their allotted location. All staff wearing protective gloves.

  • All completed cages must be security sealed with the heavy duty cover and tightened with the strap.

  • All OCS deliveries must leave with a full load of soils for re-processing. All soils should either be sent by cage or palletisation
