Routine Check

  • Do drivers routinely check to ensure their vehicle is safe, legal, and equipped for the journey ahead. In particular, check the following:

  • Tires in good condition: Correct pressure, including the spare tire

  • Corrective Action Required

  • Windshield wipers and washer fluid

  • Corrective Action Required

  • Lights, including emergency flashers

  • Corrective Action Required

  • Oil and fluid levels

  • Corrective Action Required

  • Safety equipment, e.g. first aid kit, flashlight, a blanket/clothing for cold weather travel, and water for hot weather.
