Social distancing on construction worksites:

  • Are Plan Of Day analysis being conducted with considerations to increase social distancing such as, reducing crew sizes, staggering work shifts, and compressing work weeks?

  • Instruction: For example are they using a white board to designate where everyone working during the morning and again for the afternoon shift. Is there some type of documentation

  • Are FP and our subcontractors maximizing the distance between workers?

  • Do FP and our subcontractors have protocols in place to avoid contact between visitors (inspectors, deliveries, etc...) and typical work crews?

  • Are FP and all other workers on site maintaining a 6 ft. social distance between workers whenever possible?

  • Are workers and/or crews using special procedures or additional levels of PPE when activities (concrete pours, utility work, etc…) prohibit social distancing (for example, workers facing away from one another, face shields, cloth masks or respirators)?

  • Has the construction field office staff been reduced as much as possible?

  • Are in-person meetings being avoided and using alternative methods in their place (Zoom meetings, groups of less then 10 people, surface cleaning and hand washing before and after meetings)?

  • Are workers keeping proper social distancing during breaks and lunch?

  • Are our subcontractors creating work plans to comply with social distancing and sanitation protocols?

Hygiene protocols:

  • Are FP and our subcontractors disinfecting commonly touched surfaces frequently throughout the day?

  • Are FP and our subcontractors following approved cleaning methods and procedures?

  • Are FP and our subcontractors wearing face masks and using the other proper PPE (gloves, face shields, etc) for hygiene and for safety?

Monitoring employees health and avoiding travel for high risk personnel:

  • Are FP job sites and subcontractors implementing symptom monitoring protocols including temperature taking and symptom screening questions? Are those screening logs being retained for (3) months?

  • Are FP workers and our subcontractors avoiding coming to work if they or someone in their household are experiencing the following symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, body aches, nausea, chills, or fatigue)?

  • Instruction: Check questionnaires and look for workers showing symptoms while walking the site

  • Are all supervisors encouraging their workers to seek medical attention if they develop symptoms by calling their medical provider first instead of making an in-person visit?

  • Instruction: Ask FP supervisor if they are encouraging workers

  • Are FP workers following proper return to work criteria when returning after an illness or self-quarantine?

  • Instruction: Check if anyone on jobsite has returned to work and how they were cleared to return

Focus on critical activities:

  • Are FP workers and our subcontractors focusing only on critical activities and not putting workers at risk by performing non-essential tasks?

  • Instruction: Examples of on-essential tasks might be BBQ's, guest site tours, or tasks not related to the schedule or building completion.

  • Are FP workers and our subcontractors safely shutting down non-essential work by creating safeguards to leave the site in a safe condition?
