Page 2: Main checklist

During this checklist you may find a few things that may need to be corrected. Here is a good rule of thumb when deciding on if HK should be called back to a unit: If the correction is going to take 5 mins or less, please try to address yourself and be sure to flag to your portfolio team at the end of this checklist. If the correction is going to take you more than 5 mins, notify your portfolio team right away so that they can alert the HK team right away. If the correction is going to take more than 5 mins, HK has already left the property, and there is a guest checking in, please address yourself and report to your findings with pictures to your portfolio team for further action.

  • Are all access Items present and accounted for?

  • Make sure your Thermostat is set to a seasonally appropriate temperature

  • Starting at the entryway, take a walk through the unit to ensure the following:

    -Run your hand along the counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom
    -All of the blinds are lowered fully, turned the same way, and open
    -Turn on & off all lights as you enter & exit the rooms
    -Confirm there is no odor

  • As you walk through the unit, ensure the floors are free and clear of hair, debris, and are not sticky.

  • Open the Fridge and ensure the drawers and shelves are clean and no evidence of previous guest.

  • Starting in the kitchen (If applicable) and moving to the bathroom, open all drawers/cabinets to check for cleanliness and any evidence of a previous guest.

  • Are the washer and dryer empty?

  • Check that the bed has been neatly made and there is no evidence of hair.

  • Check under bed for trash or evidence of previous guest.

  • Check the shower and toilet for cleanliness and hair.

  • Ensure all pump soap bottles are facing the right way, are properly filled, and are free and clear of dried on debris.

  • Check the bedroom closet for spare linens.

  • Are there any work orders that need to be placed?
