  • CHECK AND CALL "CLEAR PROP"

  • Ignition to START and PUSH to engage

  • Advance MIXTURE as engine starts

  • Advance THROTTLE to RPM 1200

  • Note TIME

  • Select date

POST-START

  • Maintain RPM 1200

  • Start fuel timer

  • Check OIL PRESSURE up within 30 seconds

  • Avionics Master ON

  • Check headset function

  • Set COMM frequency

  • Check radio transmit/receive

  • Set TRANSPONDER to STANDBY, code 1200

  • Fuel boost pump ON

  • Set transponder to ALT

  • Confirm heading indicator matches runway heading

  • Plan takeoff FULL POWER, +8* attitude climbout at Vy 113 mph after flaps/gear retract
