  • Operator starts assignment on voice system without undue delay and speaks clearly to reduce repetition of commands.

  • Operator proceeds to printer and then requests assignment and waits for printer to print out destination labels and then mounts equipment

  • Operator travels to pallet area to obtain pallet using most direct path.

  • Operator checks pallet for damages before placing carefully on machine.

  • Operator travels to aisle using most direct path to entry location of chiller/freezer rooms.

  • Operator parks within 2 steps of pick slot minimising steps to pick slot.

  • Operator observes the 2 bay rule

  • Operator reads voice check digits to confirm the correct pick location during dismount and walking to the pick slot.

  • Operator picks and confirms correct amount of ctns and reads ctn weights if applicable in a smooth and continuous motion.

  • Operator walks machine to next pick location unless travelling is required.

  • Operator hand wraps pallet when pallet is more than 1 metre high with 2 wraps and no more than 3 wraps in a place where the operator is not obstructing traffic. The

  • Operator moves pallet machine away from pallet when wrapping pallet so can access all sides for wrapping.

  • Operator places last destination label on front top side of the pallet

  • Once assignment is complete operator proceeds to exit location of chiller/freezer using most direct route.

  • Operator drives backwards if pallet is too high and is obstructing vision if driven forward.

  • Operator used horn when entering/exiting chiller/freezer rooms and in blind spots.

  • Operator stages complete pallet in the correct staging area.
