Pre-Requisite

Pre-Requisite for Testing

  • The purpose of this Audit is to monitor and record the resilience testing process when carrying out power isolations for the Studio building. The Electrical, Mechanical, Building Control Infrastructure and Support Services are all under test during this process. It is critical that any issues arising are recorded with as much detail as possible so that a full assessment can be carried out to rectify and resolve.

  • Select Attendees responsible with testing.

  • Select shift engineers assisting with testing.

  • Has a full CNF100 document package been produced and presented to the client / end user for date approval?

  • CNF100 reference number?

  • Enter the approval date for record.

  • Has a verbal approval been given and are all parties involved aware of the date given?

  • Has a test sheet been generated to record details of testing and response times?

Pre Test Protocol

Pre-Testing Requirements

  • Has a list of contact details been generated for all parties involved with the testing and will radios / mobile phones be available for all?

  • Cofely Engineers

  • Cofely Contractor Support Team

  • Dock10 Duty Technical Manager (DTM)

  • SIS Duty Technical Manager (DTM)

  • G4S Security Control

  • Client / End user

  • Has G4S security been informed of testing to allow them to move control to an alternative location?

  • Has DOCK10 issued a start time for actual isolation works to commence in conjunction with studio production schedule?

  • Enter start time here.

  • Contact studio DTM for information regarding start time. Data editing could still be in process in the background and so a definite start time is required.

  • Other staff may be working in the building at the time of testing. Have they been made aware of testing and that all lighting will go to emergency for short period of time?

  • 5 minutes prior to testing an announcement should be made over the studio PA system to warn others of the lighting and general power outages.

  • Has screen prints of the present state of all critical areas of HVAC been carried out via the BMS? Ensure any new issues have been resolved or recorded before tests commence?

  • This can either be paper prints or saved as data on the hard drive, memory card etc.

  • Has all the lifts from core 1 to core 8 and the scenery goods lifts been brought to ground level and placed in the PARK position to prevent usage?

  • Have signs been placed on the lifts to show out of order?

  • This will eliminate entrapment should the lifts be used whilst power isolations are in progress.

  • To minimise the electrical load on the UPS system the house and fire lane lighting in the actual studios should be turned off. Carry out a walk round of the studios and turn off the lighting on the vision control panel and the fire lane lights via the emergency lighting test board on the balcony.
