    Store Exterior/Parking Lot
  • Snow/Ice removal maintained throughout parking lot,sidewalks and front facade

  • Parking lot, sidewalks and exterior property are free of debris and trash

  • Pavement and sidewalks are free of major cracks & potholes

  • Bollards,curbs,crosswalks and light poles are undamaged

  • Signage and paint lines (cart corral,handicap,on-line pickup,crosswalk,stop signs) are clearly visible and free from markings and damage.

  • Spring, Summer & Fall landscaping is neat and free from weeds and trash

  • Cart corrals are emptied regularly. Carts fit completely in corrals and less than 1/2 full (no overflow). Parking lot free from excessive carts

  • All exterior building lighting to include neon lights, wall packs, parking lot, building exterior and lit signage is working and on/off at correct times of days.

Exterior Facade

  • Trash cans and ash trays are no more than half full and wiped clean

  • Approved Banner Signs (On-line shopping, now hiring, More Rewards) are made by Coborn’s print shop

  • Other outdoor banners need to be approved by D.M with a limit of 1 banner displayed for no longer than 4 weeks and must be Company sponsored i.e Lakes Jam, Wine Sale or liquor sale. All outdoor banners must be made by Coborns print services or approved vendor authorized by DM.

  • Window Coverings made and installed by Coborn’s Print Services or an approved vendor must be in good repair and serve the purpose to reduce sunlight or cover up backs of equipment or displays

Entrance

  • Door frame and glass are clean and free of smears and tape debris

  • All entrance and exit doors- Auto or manual are in good working condition

  • The only signage on entryway doors/glass are hours of operation/we card and required State Regulatory sign (Mn stores only). Store hours are posted in the upper right glass panel at entrance. Store hour signs must be made by Coborn’s Print services. If temporary signs need to be posted they must be approved by the DM.

  • Vestibules must be kept in original state of final construction appearance. Free of POS, signs, posters, banners displays, etc.

  • Entrance/Vestibule is free of shovels, salt, or any other seasonal material

  • Entryway carpet/flooring is free of debris and appears clean

  • Carts are placed in designated cart area by location and don’t interfere with guest traffic flow

Interior- Shelf Tags

  • All tags are correct tags described in the Playbook

  • All tags are in good repair, not torn, faded or wrinkled. Also no hand written tags

  • All UPC shelf wine and liquor tags are left justified

  • All Alliance Brands are tagged with “More Rewards” shelf tags. All are using poppers with the shelf clip (with the exception of shelved end caps which can be hung in the Tyrion strips). Alliance shelf talkers hung by Trion strips or one inch tooth shelf clip - no tape!

Facing And Shelf Conditions

  • Product is faced to the front of the shelf minimum of 2-3 deep to cover the number of facings dedicated from tag to tag.

  • All shelves and front of shelves are clean & free of dust and debris.

  • Shelf talkers used must be supplier made, no hand written and must be attached by use of a Tyrion strip or one inch tooth shelf clip. No tape.

Image Walls & Mass Beer Displays

  • All displays only have Alliance Brands or top selling sku,s per category

  • No EDLP on any Liquor or Wine displays - Beer has exceptions

  • Full Displays. Full displays are defined as full trays or full Mass stacks. Wine and Spirits minimum 5,4,3 ( empty boxes may be used).

  • Signs- 7X5 sign with wedge sign holder. Sign is centered at eye level with 1 sign per price point. 5X3 More Rewards sign in metal wedge holder on All Alliance Brands displayed

Shelf Endcaps

  • All End-caps have only Alliance Brands or top selling sku’s per category

  • No EDLP on any end cap (unless product is included in drink recipe)

  • Full end caps- A full end cap is defined as product at least 2 units deep

  • Shelved end caps have no more than 1 brand per shelf unless drink recipe tie in

  • Shelved end caps are signed with 5X3 sign in a plastic holder and vertically aligned. One 5X3 sign per price point.

Case Stacked Endcaps

  • All Endcaps have only Alliance Brands or top selling sku’s per category.

  • No EDLP on any Endcap unless product is included in a drink recipe.

  • Full end cap- A full end cap is defined as trays are full.

  • Case end caps have no more than 3 sku,s per display side. Endcaps must not encroach into aisles more than 1 foot.

  • Case stacked Endcaps with a single price point are signed with 7X5 sign in metal holder. Case stacked endcap with multiple price points are signed with 5X3 sign in metal holder. One sign per price point.

Kickers/Wing Stacks

  • All kickers or wing stacks have only Alliance Brands or top selling sku’s per category.

  • No EDLP on any kicker/Wing stack unless product is included in drink recipe

  • Shelved kickers have no more than 2 brands per end unless drink recipe tie in, sign with 5X3 in plastic holder and vertically aligned

  • Case stacked kickers have no more than 1 brand per display and are minimum 4 cases high and 1 case deep ( empty boxes are ok). Signed with 5X3 in metal holder.

  • Full kicker/ Wing stack- this is defined as product 1 or 2 units deep on shelves or trays are full in cases.

  • Case stacked Kickers must not encroach into aisles more than 1 foot.

BOTM/WOTM

  • BOTM/WOTM is displayed in “A” display location

  • Items - must display all items all types listed in the print or digital ad. If ad says “all available types” then display the top 4 selling sku’s as a minimum

  • Shelved Endcaps are signed with 5X3 sign in plastic holder with1 sign per price point. Case stacked Endcaps with a single price point are signed with 7X5 sign in a metal holder. Case stacked Ends with multiple price points are signed with 5X3 in metal holder. 1 sign per price point.

Alliance Brands Merchandising

  • Alliance Brands spirits small sizes are available to your location in stock and merchandised properly around front end baskets, on counters and fixtures

  • Alliance brands are set with correct adjencies and correct number of facings per CM’s set standards

  • Alliance Brands are represented equally with space and adjacencies to National brands on displays

  • Any additional comments

Beer Coolers - All Types

  • All product is tagged with current EDLP, as advertised or manager specials

  • All shelf/ Bib tags are centered to product

  • Pick 6 doors are fully stocked with new and seasonal items- High-Vis racks will be used to hold Company only 6 pack carriers

  • Door frame and glass are clean and free of smears and tape debris

  • Cooler door glass and handles are free of wholesaler or supplier POS

  • All lights are working properly

Small Size Baskets

  • All baskets are full, clean, and filled with items that meet GP% requirements

  • All signs are aligned as guest approaches. One 5X3 yellow sign in a plastic holder & basket clip per price point. See Playbook picture.

  • Ideal location is evenly spaced in front of check stand. Otherwise, determine locations with DM. They must be 6’ between each basket or cluster.

Beverage Coolers

  • Coolers are filled with high impulse/ high GP items with liquor store managers approval

  • All product is tagged with current retails. Cooler is full and faced

  • Doors are cleaned and all lights are operational

Check Lanes or Counters

  • Check lanes/Counters need to be free of excess clutter.

  • Merchandised with High impulse/ High Margin items while at the same time well organized and not over stocked with too many items.

  • Needs to be maintained and held up to certification standards. If any questions to what these are, see example in Playbook.

Restrooms

  • Floor and stalls are free from trash, toilet paper, debris, and staining

  • Toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors are clean ( bowl,seat, handles/ faucets, fronts).

  • Toilet paper, paper towels and soap dispensers are checked and restocked if needed. They are free from damage and wiped clean.

  • Trash cans are no more than half full

  • Lights are all working, and ceiling vents are wiped clean from dust.

  • All cleaning supplies and back stock paper products are NOT visible to the guest and stored in cabinet. Required signage, employees must wash hands displayed.

Office Workspace & Break Rooms

  • Safe remains locked while not in use and access is limited to essential personnel only.

  • Office is clean, organized and work stations are well maintained. Kept in 5S condition.

  • Break area ( if applicable) is tidy, clean and available for use. No excess/ out dated food in refrigerator.

Back room and Storage areas

  • Back room is clean, organized and set up for easy product access.

  • Mop sink is accessible, free of any damaged product and ready to use.

  • Product return to Wholesalers is organized with bins and nothing is there longer than 2 weeks. If not returnable needs to be disposed of immediately.

Empty Boxes

  • Stored as far away from entrance/exit doors as possible. No other cardboard, plastic or debris in area except empty useable boxes.

  • Boxes are to be no more than 5 high, and 3 rows deep. Box row length is not greater than 12 feet and must not block or cover any windows
