RECEPTION:- Turn on reception computer, lighting all working, check & put in till, check EVAC bag, check fire panel for faults.

WETSIDE CHANGING ROOMS:- cubicles clean, lighting all working, baby change clean, men's toilets clean & filled with toilet roll, ladies toilets clean & filled with toilet roll, check fire exit is free from blockage, ensure chemical store is locked, gate to main pool locked, ensure fire routes are clear.

POOL HALL:- lighting all working, poolside clean, carry out visual check on pool grating, visual check of diving board area, ensure all fire routes are clear.

FIRST AID ROOM:- lighting all working, ensure clean & tidy, check first aid bed for cleanliness, ensure rescue board is fit for purpose, ensure all fire routes are clear.

SPECTATORS:- lighting all working, visual check seating for any defects, area clear of rubbish, bin empty.

EXTERNAL BUILDING CHECK:- ensure all windows are shut, fire exits are shut & clear from rubbish, lights off.

Precautions to be taken at the close of business

Inspect all seating as far is practicable, to check that there are no lit smoking materials present

Inspect all upholstered seating for damage to covers and exposure of the filling material

Remove any combustible waster or rubbish from the premises and store them in a safe place. Not: materials should not be store where the may be used as fuel by an arsonist.

Inspect all areas in use that day, particularly circulation areas and under seating and tables or any materials which could start a fire or cause a fire to spread.

Close all windows and doors including those held open by automatic release units.
-
Switch off any electrical equipment not in use and unplug where appropriate.
-
On completing this record, the Duty Manager must sign this in the notes section.
