DNAP Qualified Officer Monthly Storage Facility Inspection - SRS

  • 1 Is the Dangerous Goods Site License current for the facility?

  • 2 Is the SRS Storage License current and all details correct?

  • 12 Is the sign 1 displayed at each perimeter entrance?

  • 13 Is perimeter sign 2 in good condition, secure, correctly displayed and legible?<br><br>

  • 14 Does perimeter sign 2 display the following:<br>HAZCHEM<br>DANGER<br>No Entry Authorised Personnel Only<br>no smoking<br>No naked lights<br>No ignition sources<br>Report fire immediately<br>Sign stating"Evacuation Clearance 1500m"

  • 15 Is sign 2 displayed at:<br>Each perimeter entrance and <br>Displayed along each side of the fencing facing outwards to be a maximum of 100m apart

  • 16 Is there an Emergency Safety Information cabinet at the facilities main entrance and one other (if more than one entrance exists) which includes copies of or shows the location of:<br>Emergency plan<br>Manifest<br>Clean-up equipment<br>Essential services and their controls

  • 17 Is the Emergency Safety Information cabinet in good condition, secure and legible?

  • 18 Does the store have a clear area around it of at least 5 m?<br>Standing trees cleared 15m or 1.5 times the height of the tallest tree?

  • 19 Are the keys to the facility and MPU's secured in a safe which prevents access by unauthorised persons?

  • 20 Is there a First aid station in a clean area with appropriate kit, supply of water and resuscitation poster?

  • 21 Are fire extinguisher inspection tags in date and gauges in the green?

  • 22 Is there a sign prominently displayed within the facility with the following directions or wording to the same effect:<br>"All persons whose work involves handling diesel or oxidising agents shall comply with the following directions:<br>Do not introduce, keep, prepare or consume food in any area where diesel,or oxidising agents are kept or handled <br>After handling Diesel or oxidising agents, always wash your hands before eating, drinking, smoking or using a toile, and after work. Immediately attend to injuries caused by contact, or suspected contact, with diesel or oxidising agents"

  • 23 Is the storage building dry and free from water seepage through roof, walls or floor?

  • 28 Is any ANE transfer pump marked with the following message "only authorised persons may work on this pump"?

  • 29 Is ANE pipe work clearly labelled to indicate contents?

  • 30 Are waste disposal containers for AN and ANE kept separate and clearly labelled?

  • 31 Are storage facility MPU parking bays correctly located as listed below.<br>15m from Protected works Class B <br>10m from AN / ANE storage<br>15m from naked flame or ignition source <br>8m from another placard end load

  • 32 Are storage facility equipment parking bays correctly located 10m from any store?

  • 33 Is the facility secured when left unattended?

DIESEL STORAGE

  • 34 Does diesel storage display the following signs:<br>DIESEL - "COMBUSTIBLE LIQUID C1" placard<br>Danger -stop engine<br>no smoking<br>no mobile phones<br>Show individual tank number<br>Show tank capacity<br>

  • 35 Is pipe work clearly labelled to indicate contents?

  • 36 Is firefighting equipment available (for tanks of 60kl to 2000kl) which is either:<br>A hose reel and foam maker where the water supply is adequate, or<br>2 a powder extinguishers located within 10m of the tank<br>

  • 37 Are impact barriers in place to protect any Combustible Liquid storage or handling system from damage?<br>On combustible liquid storage<br>On any handling system e.g. Fill/ discharge points
