Foundation Slab

  • Is the slab set out correctly as plan ?

  • Is DPM been used ?

  • 2. Ensure formwork height is as per surveyor set out FFL height ?

  • Is the form work at same height level?

  • Is the DPM and rebar clean and free from soil and loose polystyrene?

  • Is the rebar grade & type used properly ?

  • Is the thickening constructed correctly in depth and width? Are enough rebar used?

  • Is the thickening constructed in correct location? Measure out all load bearing walls to confirm.

  • Is the trimmer bars placed correctly ?

  • All Ground Beams - are in correct location ?

  • All Pads - are located under SHS or point load. Ensure pad & SHS concrete footing dimension (ensuring its W x H x L) are marked and dug correctly before concrete ?pour.

  • Has the proper mesh been installed ?

  • Have the proper chairs been installed under the mesh? Enough concrete cover ?

  • Are all the Plumbing stub up's installed and properly located?

  • Drainage pipes - are fully covered by sleeves ranging from gap7 / elbow section to exposing end. Seal openings tightly with waterproofing tapes ?

  • Rebars around pipes are bent correctly. Practice good standard, 2 45’ bends instead of single 90’, Rib edge and edge beam details refer to below. Leave at Least 35mm space between reinforcing bars and pipes ?

  • Is all electrical installed and properly located? Kitchen Island?

  • Is Hotedge being installed corrrectly ? If is a HE extra, brick veneer or with base ?

  • Is there a joinery rebate ? Is the rebate allowed at the correct location ? and as per joinery installation guide ?

  • Take picture of any violations.
