  • This audit is intended to be a guide to assist the auditor with performing an inspection of the job site. It is not intended to be all inclusive and should only be utilized as a guide prior to traveling to a location and performing an audit.
    Look for positive signs and indicators of safe work practices. Accentuate the positive.
    Locate JHA and permits. Verify all Shermco workers have signed off on JHA.
    Observe worksite for hazards or other factors that could affect the safety or outcome of the job.
    Note if equipment is in calibration, missing or damaged tools and equipment.
    Note the condition of PPE, rubber goods outdated, etc.
    Inspect Shermco vehicles if possible for current inspection and registration tags, tires, windshield, body damage, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, etc.
    Report findings as needed to site management/job leader. Have job leader sign the audit form.
    Findings marked as "No" should have comments with a time line and corrective action plan. If the auditor is unable to accomplish this, it must be noted and an email sent to EHS for follow-up.
    Scan and email the audit to the EHS Department for review and retention.

  • SDS on site and chemical safety (proper storage & labeling) being used

  • First aid kit available

  • Proper rigging utilized and inspected

  • Barricades utilized and installed properly

  • Confined space(s) entry required (training/equipment)

  • Vehicles in safe condition-inspection, registration, windshield, tires, lights, damage, etc.
