Is the fire extinguisher within the 5 year service period from manufacture?

Maintenance Records
Maintenance record tag is firmly attached and date of manufacture is within five (5) years

Accessibility
Check the fire extinguisher is readily available and in the assigned location

Anti Tamper Device
Check the anti tamper device is intact

Exterior and Operating Instructions
Extinguisher is clean and operating instructions are legible

External Damage
Check the unit is undamaged, including attachments (AS 2337.1)

External Corrosion
Check the exterior of the unit is not pitted or damaged by corrosion (AS 2337.1)

Outlet Hose
Check the outlet hose is securely fitted, nozzle is securely attached, assembly is free from obstruction and no damage or deterioration

Pressure Indicator
Indicator is legible, within the standard operating range and operational

Operating Head or Cap
Check the operating head is free from damage with no blockages and the locking device is correctly fitted

Signage
Location signage is visible and at the correct height

Support Bracket
Check the support bracket is securely attached to the support feature

Discharge Nozzle
Check the appropriate nozzle is fitted, free from damage and not blocked

Carriage Assembly
Check the carriage assembly is functional and free from corrosion

Actuating Device
Device is free from corrosion, moves freely and is undamaged

Powder
Invert the extinguisher checking for free moving powder

Suitablilty
Confirm the extinguisher is correct for the application
