FORKLIFT OPERATOR DAILY INSPECTION CHECKLIST (BATTERY)

Is the forklift free of any visible damage to the bodywork?

Are all safety guards and covers properly fastened and secured?

Is the forklift free of any obvious leaks?

Hydraulic fluid level in the reservoir checked?

Mast and carriage free of any damage or foreign items?

Chains and fixing bolts visually checked for damaged links, obvious stretching and appropriate lubrication?

Forks (and securing pins) visually checked for any sign of cracks or any sign of damage or excess wear?

Backrest / Extension visually checked for damage or debris?

All tyres checked for damage, including cuts and tread wear?

Are wheel rims free of damage?

Wheel nuts checked and ensured they are tight?

Is the seat correctly fixed to the truck?

Is the seat belt or other restraint secure and functioning correctly?

Does the steering feel normal with no undue play or unusual movement?

Do the brakes feel normal and work efficiently?

Does the parking brake work efficiently?

Are all foot and hand controls operating correctly?

All warning lights operating correctly?

All gauges and other instruments working correctly?

Lights / Beacon operating correctly?

Is the horn functioning as desired?

Are all alarms functioning correctly?

Battery secure and clean?

Level of distilled water in the battery checked and topped up as needed?

Are all cable connections clean and secure?
