Forklift Pre-Start

Do I hold a current HRWL for a Forklift?

Have I completed the CLTP SOP?

Is the engine oil at the correct level?

Is the coolant at the correct level?

Is the hydraulic fluid at the correct level?

Is the transmission fluid at the correct level?

Is the brake fluid at the correct level?

Is the air cleaner clean? (not full of dust)

Check for loose fittings, cracks and worn hoses

Check grease points and grease if necessary

Check tyres and rims for pressure, wear and damage

Check steps, handrails and anti-slip

Check if warning lights and gauges are operational

Is the horn operational?

Is the flashing light operational?

Is the reverse alarm operational?

Are the indicators, brake lights and lights operational?

Is the seat and seat belt in good condition?

Is the cab free from rubbish and dirt?

Check for oil leaks

Check brakes and park brake are operational

Steering and controls are operating normally.

UHF is operational and on the correct channel.
