VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

  • Fortis vehicle ID number

  • Check for current DOT inspection sticker

  • Check for USDOT identification number

  • Odometer reading at inspection

Vital Vehicle Fluid Levels and Condition

  • Change Engine Oil & Filter

  • Check Transmission, Power Steering, Engine Coolant, Differential, Transfer Case and Window washer fluids<br>

  • Check batteries- visual inspection of cables and connectors, fill fluid level as necessary

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

  • High and Low Beams Operational

  • Check that Clearance, Marker Lights, and License Plate lights are operational

  • Check that Left and Right Tail Lights, Turn Signal, Back Up alarm, Spot Lights are Operational

  • Audible Back-up Alarm Operational

EXTERIOR BODY AND GLASS (Take Photos of any noted damage)

  • Check all glass to see if its free of Cracks and Chips.

  • Check all mirrors, Replace if damaged

  • Check all body panels- Doors, Hood, Fenders. photo if visible damage requires repair

  • Check fuel tank, straps and access steps

  • Check tractor hand valve, check pointless hitch and chain loops, adjust clutch if necessary

TIRES

  • Check left steer axle tires and wheels, check tire pressure, measure tread depth

  • Check right steer axle tires and wheels, check tire pressure, measure tread depth

  • Check forward left drive axle tires and wheels, check tire pressure, measure tread depth

  • Check forward right drive axle tires and wheels, check tire pressure, measure tread depth

  • Check left drive axle tires and wheels, check tire pressure, measure tread depth

  • Check right drive axle tires and wheels, check tire pressure, measure tread depth

BRAKES

  • Adjust All Brakes

  • Front Axle Brakes- All brake issues must be reported to PSE Fleet immediately

  • Forward Rear axle Brakes- All brake issues must be reported to PSE Fleet immediately

  • Rear axle Brakes- All brake issues must be reported to PSE Fleet immediately

INTERIOR

  • Check Driver and Passenger seat air ride suspension & upholstery

  • Check driver and passenger seat belt and shoulder harness

  • Check that Windshield Wipers are functioning appropriately

  • Check low air warning buzzer and light

  • Check heating, air conditioning and defroster

  • Check all dash board gauges and lights are functioning properly

  • Check Bin Heaters for proper operation

  • Check horns, electric & air

  • Interior Compartment Lights Operational

  • Entry Grab Bar/Rail Secure

  • Interior is Clean and Free of Loose Objects

Under Carriage Inspection

  • Check Driveline & U Joints, Ball Joints, Exhaust, Springs, Hangers, Shocks,

  • Grease Complete Chassis

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

  • Securely mounted First Aid kit, Highway safety triangles, Fire Extinguisher

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

  • Valid Vehicle Registration is located in Vehicle (Note where kept)

  • Valid Vehicle Insurance Certificate is Located in Vehicle (Note where kept)
