Site Information

  • 4th Utility have instructed SCCI (22/07/2022) to move away from our current two visit approach - we will no longer make a return visit to PIA affected sites

Our works will be completed in one stage irrelevant of whether the site is needing PIA or not

In all case we will undertake Phase 1 (IOLM) as normal & Phase 2 where PIA is not a factor or is already in place

Where PIA has not yet been completed – we will undertake testing to Phase 1.5

On Phase 1.5 (for blocks without PIA) – we will fit the splitters in the DP and splice to a bulk head with a patch lead - then power test to 1 in 8 through the splitters & patch lead, using a power generator locally at the DP

We will always fit the split tray in the comms cabinet and liven up all DP’s that are linked (by us) to the comms cabinet & 2nd stage test – in normal circumstance the comms cabinet block can be 2nd stage tested

Where the BT circuit is not in situ, we will test the local cabling & through the splitters in the DP using power generator locally – to 2nd stage test

At each DP - we will always supply fit the patch the leads, left curled up below the DP ready for ITS or 4th Utility to install their demarcation box, and make their patch

At the Comms Cab / Split panel - we will supply fit the patch the leads plugged in to the 1:4 Split panel – and leave them hanging out of the splitter tray inside the rack ready for ITS or 4th Utility to install their PIA patch panel

Our job is then deemed as complete - with 4th Utility or ITS then being responsible for patching and testing through, once the PIA has been completed

Please ensure the document is completed in full with photos of the patch leads in the comms cabinet and below the DP’s
