Are bunds free of vegetation, sediment, rubbish or items which may reduce its capacity?
Is the area free of hydrocarbon spills?
Is liquid resulting from spills or leaks recovered as soon as practicable?
Does the work area have sufficient stocked spill kits?
Sediment Control
Are ore spillage levels at a minimum and disposed of correctly?
Are sumps in good condition with adequate freeboard?
Are drying beds in good condition with sediment levels at an acceptable level?
WFSF / Decant Pond
Was the WFSF / decant pond inspected?
Have daily area inspections been completed as per the WFSF operations manual?
Does the facility have sufficient freeboard to meet licence requirements (300 mm)?
Is the embankment wall in good condition, free of cracking and scouring?
Is the facility operated in accordance with the approved operations / decant strategy?
As per licence requirements, is the interception drain immediately downstream of the main storage dam embankment, which shall be used to collect and recover any liquid matter resulting from seepage of the main embankments?
Is the decanat pond managed to keep water away from the embankment and allowing water to be collected by the decant structure?
Are decant volumes recorded and tracked?
