    STOP WORK AND CONTACT YOUR LINE MANAGER

    • If any alterations are needed to the scaffold – do not alter scaffolds yourself
    • If you are unaware of the safe system of work
    • If you identify any potential hazards
    • If you have not been made aware of the risk assessment
    • If there are problems with the scaffold
    • If you do not have the correct PPE
    • If you do not have the correct plant or tools to carry out the work safely
    • If any item of plant is defective (also record in the defects book)
    • If circumstances change and you are unable to carry out the works following the given safe system of work
    • If the weather makes the work too dangerous
    • If there has been an accident or near miss
    • Or if there are any other circumstances that affect carrying out the work safely



    REMEMBER​You have a responsibility to look after yourself and anyone else who may be affected by your work and to report any potential hazards.
