Fire evacuation announcements The fire evacuation announcement is voice activated and clearly explains what you should do given the situation in hand. 1. Please leave the building by the nearest exit - do not use the lifts: as stated you should leave the building by the nearest exit. As an instructor of that class you have a responsibility to communicate this to your class participants but ultimately it is their own responsibility to follow the instructions being announced. 2. As an instructor of the class you should proceed and manage the class as best you can until the all clear is announced.
