Food Defense / Food Security

  • Plant facility and plant boundaries are properly secured to prevent unauthorized entry and assist in visibility of unauthroized entry.

  • All perimeter doors are closed and secure. Verify 3 doors and document

  • Emergency evacuation maps are posted at exits.

  • Inspect areas of concern for tampering (gas lines, water, electrical, air vents, etc.).

  • Verify outside Bulk Tanks are secured with locks in place on the connection valves to prevent tampering.

  • Review receiving log and paper work, verify the procedures are being followed if un-loading is occuring.

  • Visitors are properly escorted and are wearing coats & red hairnet.

  • Non-authorized personnel not observed in restricted areas.

  • Are all chemicals (Sanitation, CIP, Maint.) properly stored and secured.

  • All chemicals have MSDS on file? Verify 2 and document.

  • All chemicals are clearly labeled? Including buckets, bottles, secondary containers and drums.

  • Verify accuracy and completeness of guest sign in at guard house station.

  • Verify accuracy and completeness of guest sign in at the front office location.

  • Review out-bound shipping log and paperwork, verify the procedures are being followed of loading is occurring.
