Important Health and Safety Information

  • In accordance with The Work at Height Regulations 2005 this scaffold must be inspected by the USER and a record maintained of
    the inspection as follows:

    • Before being taken into use for the first time
    • After any event likely to have affected its strength or stability
    • After substantial addition, dismantling or other alterations
    • At regular intervals not exceeding 7 days

USER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scaffolding is safe if you comply with the Regulations and:

    ALWAYS:
    • Employ a professional Scaffold Company
    • Ensure the scaffold specification meets your requirements
    • Check use and loading overleaf is what you want
    • Inspect scaffold and sign Handing-over Certificate or check tag
    • Carry out and record weekly inspections
    • Use warning signs for incomplete or unsafe scaffolds
    • Spread the load – instruct users on maximum loading
    • Use suitable loading towers
    • Report damage of scaffold materials (erected or not) to Scaffold Company

    Scaffolding is very dangerous if abused, so:

    NEVER:
    • Remove ties
    • Remove, adjust, alter or modify any part of the scaffold
    • Overload the scaffold
    • Allow digging under or near the scaffold
    • Add sheeting or netting unless the scaffold has been designed for it
    • Forklift loads directly onto access scaffolds
