Roofing/roof repair

Convince yourself of the flammable properties of the roof, roof curbs, eaves and roof penetrations.

When removing gravel and old roof layers, roof insulation material must be prevented from becoming visible.

The bitumen boiler may not be placed on the roof.

Propane gas bottles must be equipped with a flow limiter. The gas bottles should remain on the ground floor as much as possible.

Provide good communication options.

Roofer work must be carried out by at least two people.

At least two 12kg ABC (or equivalent) powder extinguishers must be available on the roof.

Fire can also occur after completion of work that poses a fire risk. Therefore, follow-up checks (with a minimum frequency of once every 20 minutes) must be carried out by or on behalf of the client for 60 minutes after completion of fire-hazardous work at the end of each working day and/or at the end of the work.
