Roofing/roof repair

  • Convince yourself of the flammable properties of the roof, roof curbs, eaves and roof penetrations.

  • When removing gravel and old roof layers, roof insulation material must be prevented from becoming visible.

  • The bitumen boiler may not be placed on the roof.

  • Propane gas bottles must be equipped with a flow limiter. The gas bottles should remain on the ground floor as much as possible.

  • Provide good communication options.

  • Roofer work must be carried out by at least two people.

  • At least two 12kg ABC (or equivalent) powder extinguishers must be available on the roof.

Work on walls and ceilings.

Permit Cancelation

  • Fire can also occur after completion of work that poses a fire risk. Therefore, follow-up checks (with a minimum frequency of once every 20 minutes) must be carried out by or on behalf of the client for 60 minutes after completion of fire-hazardous work at the end of each working day and/or at the end of the work.
