Substrate

  • Has the substrate been inspected & is it to a satisfactory standard to commence sheeting?

1. Wire Safety Mesh

  • Does each piece of wire at the purlin have 4 twists per wire?

  • Purlin less than 1200mm - mesh to be lapped minimum 150mm ?

  • Purlins 1200-2199mm - mesh is lapped minimum of 150mm and side lapped fastened with a 2mm ring fasteners at 900mm max centers between each purlin?

  • Purlins 2200mm or greater are side lapped minimum of 300mm and side lap to be fastened at max 600mm centers between each purlin - laps to be fastened on both side of the lap ?

  • Joining wire - end goings of wire – two transverse wires are placed together – The tail wires are tied around each other one being twisted 4 times around the main portion of the same wire, the other longitudinal wire twisted once around the main portion of the same wire and then four times around the two transverse wires?

  • Have the fascia purlins and roof purlins been affected by the wire for straightness

2. Eaves Gutters

  • Has the eaves gutter got a minimum fall of 1:500 - (Aus Standard) 2mm per L/m

  • Expansion joint every 20L/m – (Aus Standard)

  • Concealed Brackets fixed with rivet/screw every second bracket on the leg & legs painted

  • No ponding on joins & drops, free of debris

3. Box Gutters

  • Brackets are not exceeding 750mm centers (Aus Standard)?

  • Fall 1:200 minimum (5mm per Lm) (Aus Standard)?

  • Rivets x 2 lines 25mm apart

  • Inline sumps & drops fixed to the underside of the materials - Under-Over sealed, sumps/gutter cleaned & free of debris?

  • Expansion joints 50mm lap with rubber not exceeding 20L/m taking into consideration not to fix through gutter board?

4. Insulation

  • Installed free of exposed holes & pulled taut and fixed in a tradesman like manner

  • Lap joints vertical fixed & folded so no insulation is visible & run straight<br>Insulation not exposed at sky light roof panels<br>

5. Rockwool

  • Rock wool installed with batts being manually tore down to suit heights with 20% compression

6. Sisolation

  • Sisolation is Installed with care taken & not laid in adverse conditions ?

7. Metal Roofing

  • Have the sheets been installed straight including edges on expansion joints and gutter lines, including second and third tiers?

  • Have the fasteners been installed without under - over screwing & washers still intact?

  • Are the fasteners fixed in straight without angles?

  • Have the corners been trimmed off of the underlap

  • Have the sheets been turned up & down with the correct tooling without splitting ?

  • Is the sheeting free of debris, swarf & rust?

  • Have all fixing points been accounted for?

  • Have all stickers been removed?

  • Have you inspected the sheeting to be free from any damage, splits or over stretching/shrinking in the sheeting

  • Have all bruised sheets been dressed out & dent caps installed?

8. Translucent Sheeting

  • Has lap seal tape been installed both sides of the roof sheet?

  • Has the end lap joint been installed as per Ampelite detail along with separation strips in place?

  • Has the water proofing angle been used & sealed at the top of the sheeting?

  • Has there been a run of silicone installed on the underside of the sheeting at the water exit ends?

  • Have the fasteners been installed without under - over screwing washers ?

  • Have you inspected the sheeting to be free from any damage, splits or over stretching/shrinking in the sheeting?

9. Flashings

  • Has this been installed as per Nautical roofing handbook detail?<br>Has the apron got a minimum upstand of 100mm along with a dry pan & a cover of 150mm along with fixings every 500mm?<br>

  • Has the Barge got a minimum upstand of 100mm along with a dry pan & a cover of 150mm along with fixings every 500mm?

  • Has the parapet cap been installed with fall toward the roof & fixed every 500mm?

  • Has the K flashing been installed as per the nautical roofing detail & manual

  • Does the tray have a minimum up-stand of 100mm, has every screw line been fixed, has the edge of the tray been fixed every 500mm?

  • Has the lock seam been sealed to the underside, does the lock seam land on a rib?

  • Does the tray flashing exceed the water carrying capabilities & need water diverters?

  • Has the fascia flashing been installed straight with minor oil canning? Are there stiffener folds over 150mm face

  • Is there a double stiffener fold over 250mm face?

  • Has the ridge got an ex-joint every 20L/m & is it as per Nautical roofing detail?

  • Are the lap joints under sealed & fixed at a maximum of 40mm with rivets dipped in silicone? Under seal is to be directly under the rivet line?

10. Mechanical post/decks/ducts

  • Has the holes in the sub frame been sealed ?

  • Has the ducts been inspected prior to handover for any holes & splits etc.

  • Has the pipe been penetrated through a rib?

  • Does the pipe block off a pan?

  • Has a deck tight been used and installed as per manufacturers specs?

  • Have the electrical services penetrating the roof been completed as per Nautical Detail

Internal parapet lining

  • Have the wall battens been fixed off straight along with appropriate spacing’s & fixings?

  • Do the battens meet the base material thickness required ?

  • Do drop down flashings have appropriate stiffener folds?

  • Does internal sheeting sit off apron flashings by at least 20mm?

  • Does the internal wall sheeting over box gutters sit hard down on the expansion rubber?

  • Have all penetrations through walls been completed in a tradesman like manner?

11. Debris - other trades

  • Have all roofs been cleaned free of rubbish & swarf including all guttering

  • Are there areas of the roof other trades have penetrated & flashed through our roof.

Wall Sheeting

  • Has the substrate been inspected prior to installing metal wall cladding?

  • Have the toe molds been installed with plugs evenly with maximum of 1m centers?

  • Are the toe molds installed straight, scratch free and all rivets, plugs painted and joints sealed?

  • Have wall sheets been installed straight with tight laps?

  • Have the screws been overtightened or washers perished?

  • Are sheets clean and scratch free?

  • Have external and internal corner molds been installed straight and have the screws penetrated the purlins?

  • Have the wall sheeting been installed with a clear 3-5mm gap from toe mold?

  • Are the toe molds and the internal wall purlins swarf free?

  • Have the internal and external corner molds been installed with stitch screws at a maximum of 500mm centers

  • Are the horizontal bottom/top lines of the wall sheet straight?

  • Have the penetrations through the wall been completed in a tradesman like manner?

Actions required and due dates to be rectified

  • Is the project defect free<br>List of items to be fixed and date for rectification?
