Drum and drive assy.

  • 1.1 Bearings: Inspect all bearings for wear, replace if wear is noticed, and grease all grease certs

  • 1.2 Drive Chains: Inspect for proper tension & alignment. All nuts/screws tight. All cotter pins in place. Lubricate all chains.

  • 1.3 Planetary gearbox: Insure oil is clean. Oil level is full. Change if questionable.

  • 1.4 Hydraulic Hoses & connections: Insure all quick connects are in working order and not leaking. Replace all hoses with wear or damage.

  • 1.5 Brake: Insure pressure relief valve is set at 350 psi and not leaking.

  • 1.6 Guards: insure all guards are in place and secured

  • 1.7 Drum securing chains: Insure all chains/turnbuckles are cleaned and lubricated, shackles pins secured, and no make shift pins.

  • 1.8 frame work: Insure all bolts are in place and tight. Inspect for structural cracks.

  • 1.9 Rigging: Insure slings are in good shape and in date. Insure certification tags are in place. Insure cotter pins are on safety shackles.

HP Manifold

  • 2.1 Debooster: Check condition including hoses and connections. Insure proper oil fill to attain proper gauges function & verify.

  • 2.2 Ball drop: Remove cap to insure there is no debris or obstruction. Grease threads and reassemble.

  • 2.3 2" Hammer valves: Grease, open/close freely & insure there is no leaks.

  • 2.4 HP Swivel: Insure all studs & and nuts are tight. No leaks during pressure testing.

  • 2.5 Pressure test: See test procedure on back, perform all steps, no leaks allowed.

Level Wind Assy.

  • 3.1 Level Wind: insure all assembly bolts are tight, bearings are good and greased. Inspect pawl for wear and grease. Replace if wear is excessive.

  • 3.2 Clutch assembly: insure there Is no missing disc, adjustment nut is tight, set screws in place, and sprocket setscrews in place, and sprockets setscrews are tight.

  • 3.3 Worn gear: Insure it is not bent , all bolts are tight, cleaned and greased.

  • 3.4 Counter head: Clean all dirt/debris, counter wheel aligned, set screws are tight and never seized, inspect all bearings and grease, chain deflection <1/8".
