General Enviroment

  • Is there a visible fire surpression system?

  • What type of floor is in the room?

  • Rate the tidiness of the room (1 - Poor needs immediate work, 3 - Adequate, 5 - Very tidy)

  • Comments on suitability of room - detail anything such as water ingress, being used as storage room etc.

Rack Information

  • How many racks are located in the room?

  • If required is there room for an addtional future rack?

  • Poise Rack Identified and labeled? (usually contains Cisco Router with LG No. and Citrix Branch Repeater)

  • WI Rack Identified and labeled? (typically secure cabinet with an Xcryptor)

  • Are WI and Poise Racks in the same room?

  • If WI and Poise racks are not in the same room give details of each location and approx distance between rooms.

  • Additional cabling required?

  • Have rack layout templates been completed for each rack?

  • Give details of cabling routes in and out of the comms room.
