FIRE Inspection Monthly Checklist

  • This checklist can be used by fire marshalls to carry out a monthly fire inspection of their area of their responsibility on a montly basis. The completed form will be stored within the Audit folder and renamed that month, if any defects or areas of concern are found these are to be brought to their line managers imediate attention and also a copy of the audit form emailed to them

  • Are all escape routes free from obstruction & combustable materials?

  • Have all combustable materials been removed from beneath open staircases?

  • Are all fire exits free from obstruction on both sides of the door?

  • Are all fire extinguishers in their correct positions, free from obstructions and in their stands or on their hooks?

  • Are all fire extinguishers ok and rings intact?

  • Are all fire doors kept closed?

  • Are all fire doors easily opened?

  • Are all fire signs in place, including fire directional signs and fire extinguisher usage signs, in good condition and readable?

  • Has Smoke Alarm 1 been tested in Main Office?

  • Has Smoke Alarm 2 been tested in Main Office?

  • Is the list of fire marshalls up to date?

  • Are the fire marshalls certificates displayed and in date?

  • Is Emergency Grab Bag present and all contents on list present?
