Activities in tight areas

  • Are there tasks that need to be performed in tight areas that could cause someone to hit objects e.g. by applying force while unscrewing?

  • Are there controls in place to prevent injuries during those tasks? E.g. extended tools, wearing of PPE?

  • Take one or multiple pictures of areas where these tasks take place.

  • Discuss, record and agree on actions required, e.g. order proper tools, change SOP, modify equipment, etc.

  • Have there been any injuries or near misses relating to activities in tight areas?

  • Discuss, record and agree on actions required - specifically ask if incidents can reoccur.
